Sarah specifically points out how her background in hospitality and Nick’s ability to be handy helped them in operating and running short-term rentals. This is what led to their hosting company, Nestrs.

Nestrs specializes in home renovation, home styling, and rental management services. Nestrs primarily focuses on managing locally in Columbus, Ohio.

Sarah discusses the difficulty in balancing home life and work life with how chaotic the housing industry can be, especially today. She also talks about how much their time is worth when flipping houses and stylizing their Airbnbs.

Drew then goes into asking the couple about how they go about renovating the spaces before renting out. Sarah goes into depth about how important it is to make their short-term rentals stand out to potential customers. They are strong believers in it is more about how unique the spaces are as opposed to how expensive they appear or are to decorate.

Nick questions the couple how covid affected their short term rentals, and what has changed. Sarah describes how since covid restrictions have lightened up, they are noticing more people are willing to get out and stay at Airbnbs, aside from just visiting family and friends.

The episode ends by discussing how the friendly and home-like design of their short term rentals makes them popular. Nick makes a good final point about how it is a camaraderie feel that makes people want to come back.
