Preparing Your Kitchen for the Holiday Season

Since the holiday season has officially arrived, it’s the perfect time to make sure all appliances are in tip-top shape and prepared. We know Thanksgiving just ended, but the holiday season is just starting. We at Appliance Educator have prepared a list of appliance preparation reminders for the holidays so that you and all of your guests have a seamless holiday season this year.

Clean Out Your Refrigerator

While this may go without saying, many households’ thanksgiving meals will last for a couple of weeks after thanksgiving. While leftovers are efficient, refrigerators tend to become overrun with old food. Be sure to clean it out, and prepare for a feast full of new food to come at the end of the month.

Have Your Appliances Serviced

This may be a premature notion, but oftentimes your appliances can have issues that you are not even aware of, or you’ve just been putting off repairs. During the holiday season, many servicing companies become overwhelmed, and adding the pandemic on top of that doesn’t help. If you have an issue with your appliances and are preparing a large meal, you want to make sure that your loved ones don’t miss out on any of your famous dishes by getting your appliances serviced as soon as possible.

Declutter Your Kitchen

Oftentimes a kitchen filled with clutter can only add extra stress to a stressful time. Before family comes over or you begin preparing your meal, make sure to remove any excess clutter on your countertops, island, or shelves. This way you have plenty of room to cook, and plenty of room to create memories with your loved ones.

Stock up the Wine Fridge

This is easily the most important tip to remember. Wine is essential for the holiday season. Preparing a large meal with a glass of wine on the side is the cherry on top of a perfect holiday. Stock your wine fridge with a variety of wines for your guests to choose from!
