How to Easily Clean Your Oven
/Easy Oven Cleaning Solutions
Cleaning your oven is oftentimes the last thing homeowners think of, but is important to not overlook this task! We know it can be a challenge, and oftentimes many questions can arise from how this should actually be done. In our newest blog, we go over the best ways you can easily clean your oven, and with products that can be easily accessible at home. Read on for more!
There are many safe alternatives to chemicals that can be used to clean your oven. The first product to use is baking soda. It can easily and effectively remove all grime. The first step is to take four even parts of baking soda and combine it with one part water. In our video shown below, we used four tablespoons of baking soda and one tablespoon of water. Once fully mixed, it should resemble a paste material. This amount of paste should be enough to cover the interior of your oven. If this is not the case, you will need to make more of the mixture.
Once the paste is made, remove the racks from your oven. This will ensure you have full visibility and can reach every nook and cranny. If your racks need cleaning as well, we recommend placing them in a bucket or sink filled up with warm water and soap and letting them soak for about an hour. Then, scrub off any remaining grime afterward.
Next, find a sponge and apply your baking soda paste onto it. Then, gently rub the paste throughout the interior of your oven. Be sure to add extra coating to any messy spots. Once all the spots are covered, let the mixture sit for about 5-10 minutes. To remove, scrub it all off with your sponge.
If the gunk is being tough, you can use a plastic scraper to remove the remaining grime. Additionally, spraying some apple cider vinegar on the oven’s interior is a great way to remove any additional spots.
